65th Gear... A favor to ask. [Video]
Worry written on my face...

[The following is locked from Legato, Airachnid, The Riddler and Grimmjow. Sorry, guys, but Rex knows you're trouble/he doesn't trust you so you've got no business knowing this!]

[There's an audible click as the device is set up on a bedside table, Rex's gloved hands all up in the screen before the EVO leans back to sit on his bed and address the camera. He looks tired, like he's not been sleeping too well.]

Guys, if I could have a few minutes or your time? I need to ask all of you a huge favor.

Some of you know that Six went home recently for a visit. While there's nothing unusual about that at all, I've already lived through the section of our timeline he's experiencing right now, so I know what'll happen to him...and it's not good. The Doc and I... We couldn't talk him out of facing it.

The basics of the situation are that an accident is going to make Six forget the last six or so years of his life. If that doesn't put him back to Sleep and he returns here, there's a chance the memory loss will carry over and the whole city will be foreign territory to him. Losing that many memories also means he's going to have gone back to his old ways as a mercenary; the Six we all knew is going to be gone. And depending on when he returns after the memory loss? He might be real dangerous to anyone he doesn't know.

That's why if any of you see Six, I need you to contact me, Holiday or Caesar immediately and be careful about how you approach him, if at all. He'll know the three us from home and we'll have a better chance of getting to him accept where he is and what's going on. I just don't want him or anybody else hurt because of this, so please trust me on this one.

[Locked to Caesar]
I included you in the list because Six will know you, but I gotta warn you, bro... Six minus six years doesn't like you that much. He'll probably be more likely to listen to you than a total stranger, but watch your step around him.

[Serious cat is serious.]

I'm afraid I don't know him that well, but I'll let you know if he shows up in the South.

[Her tail flicks back and forth as she locks the feed. Her expression softens a bit.]

Are you and Dr. Holiday going to be all right?

[She's still unsure about you, but Raye has a lot of trust in you.]

[Back to square one for him and the agent. Still, he's much more worried about how this is going to affect Rex and Doctor Holiday.]

If he comes East, I'll let you know. And I'll keep an eye on that island of his.

Thanks, bro. I know Six would really appreciate that, too. It's gonna be tough for him if he comes back, minus all those memories. That island isn't going to mean anything to him and I'm probably gonna get stuck with the duty of explaining it.

[This poor kid. Won't he ever get a break?]

[Rather than comment on that, though, he just nods.]

I can keep a watch for him. If I know he's back, I can try to cover the city and look for him for you, stay more or less subtle about it, maybe let you know where he is. I can try not to spook him.

Yeah, better if you don't startle the guy. I know Six seemed uptight while he was here before, but trust me, the way he was isn't an improvement. Back home after the memory loss, he talked more, but...man. He had less restraint and for the Sixth Deadliest Man on the Planet, that's not really a good thing.

... "Watch my step"? What do you mean by that? He dislikes me enough to be a danger to me?

[Caesar sounds so confused, but that's probably because he is.]

Uh, well.

He...sorta kinda wanted to kill you at one point.

But he never actually tried to!

I'll do that. I don't want anyone getting hurt.

But, is there any harm in talking to him over the network?

Shouldn't be, as long as you don't give him a reason to hunt you down.

Thing is, I'm not sure he'll even get on the network if he comes back. When he first got here, he purposely didn't say a world to anyone on the network for like a week. Just monitored everyone else so he could figure the city out, learn everyone's angles. Now imagine that kind of mentality amped up even further.

No... I don't think we'll see him on the network right away. Not unless Nautilus does something to turn his device on when he's not looking.

I will let you know immediately if I spot him. Is there anything else we should know?

Thanks, dude. I owe you one.

I can't think of anything else off-hand. Not sure if he'll still have his Angelii status if he comes back, but even if he does, I don't think he actually got much formal training in.

Understood.

[Well. He and Six weren't exactly pals, but they had an almost!understanding. He'll keep an eye out]

Thanks for listening.

And hopefully there won't be much of a problem.

[Though if Six does come back, that could be just wishful thinking.]

....

...got it. I...wish I knew what else to say about that. But thanks for the head's up.

No problema. I know you and your brother were friends with Six before this... And if he comes back, he's gonna be difficult to deal with. So...I'm...sorry about that.

Just watch yourselves around him to start. I know the version you knew would be unhappy if either of you got hurt because of his younger self.

[Sanji frowns and chews lightly on the end of his cigarette. He remembers Six, from their hunt for the Riddler's bombs.] Yeah, okay. Will do.

[He's pretty confident he could hold his own against Six, if it came down to that. Probably. Yet another reason to focus on his training, just in case...]

Thanks. The less trouble we have with him if he comes back, the better. I've already had to fight with him twice at home... Don't want anyone else to have to do the same.

I get it.

[Raye's response is terse. She's not good at hiding her anger, but she's trying at least for Rex's sake.]

You doing all right?

I'm...holding it together. I did better when this happened at home, but...

[A sigh. It can't be seen, but he rubs at the bridge of his nose, pursing his lips before continuing.]

The two of us were close at home, though not as close as we were here. I'm feeling way more let down and worried on this side of the gates. I understand why he felt like he had to go back, but I just don't know that it was worth it.

[Ben looks similiarly worn out, of course to him Rex looks even worse. He gives Rex a nod even though he's agreed to this already. Ben actually had another concern.]

Shouldn't someone keep an eye on the West Gate? Since that's pretty much bad guy city.

[He didn't want to imply that Six might come back in the 'villain zone', but safe than sorry.]

If he doesn't go back to Sleep, he should come back in the way he went out. It's not that he was a bad guy like...a villain kind of bad guy. He was just a lot more hardcore when he was younger.

....IF...THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO...

[If you go to reap any souls from bodies? Miiight want to call that in.]

Keep watch... Let me know if you see any green blurs sweep by out of the corner of your vision or anything.

[A pause.]

I...never did get down to your place to spend some time with you.

[Even though he won't see the action, she nods slightly.] Understood.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

I doubt he'll arrive in the West, but I'll certainly keep an eye out for him.

... and if there's anything else I can do for you, please don't hesitate to call. I can't imagine this is very easy for you.

Thanks, Hakkai.

No, it's not... Not on anyone who knew him well and cares about him. We don't have much choice except to keep going, though, whether or not he comes back.

Look on the bright side.

At least he isn't losing his life.

No, but he is losing an important part of who he is...was. It's part of his life, gone.

I'll take that over him going to Sleep or dying in my world, but that doesn't make it all that much easier.

Willing to bet I'd be pegged as one of those... what are they, EVOs? Still. I'm gonna keep on the lookout for him.

You know you can count on me if you need anything. [He smiles just a little bit.] Even if it's just a warm meal to ease things up a bit.

[Aargh, man. Po's got a point, there.]

Yeeeaaaah, that might be possible. Just don't get too close to him if you see him. You know, give him plenty of space and don't make any threatening moves.

[A small smile.]

Thanks, buddy. If things don't go well, I might take you up on that meal offer.

Thanks for the warning. [Still, she frowns and looks troubled.]

... what does this Six look like?

He's almost always dressed in green, usually a green suit with a white shirt, black tie and sunglasses. He might be wearing his heavier gear if he comes back, though, but even that's in darker shades of green. Also he's got black hair and a soul patch. He's not tough to recognize.

[But why can't he just run up to him and make friends, Rex?]

I can, um, cover a lot of ground, if you want me to help look.

[He doesn't want to get too nosy, since he still feels a little bad about when Rex lost his heart]

[Because Six isn't interested in making friends minus all those years, Wally. Not with just anyone. Not when he was raised among other killers with a pack-like mentality.]

Thanks, dude. Just make sure you stay out of reach if you see him.
